35/52 HEART TEA!

Milk tea folk here’s another Milk tea place to taste (Not to eat the shop, Just taste their milk tea, ha). Just around I.T park there's a stall that stands just beside KK "Krispy Kreme" (This was the trend before milk tea stood out) and in front of Body and Sole named Heart Tea Milk tea

It was so pink and a real head turner. It was a corner of joy inside the vicinity of "Call center people". It's like a take out counter for Milk tea addicts!

So without the second thought (you know how I love milk teas) I had one small cup of Wintermelon milk tea (Which is their best seller) that cost 50.00 Philippine money (cheap milk tea here!) and added tapioca pearls for 10.00 Philippine money Ü

They only have two crews available and I kinda waited for a while for my Milk tea then eventually people who also wanted to have milk tea flooded around the stall and it made "That awkward moment that you are alone" Nyahahaha XD

Their Wintermelon milk tea was awesomely good and consider the affordable price. But there was this good sharp tea flavor that gets the upper hand of the flavor but with the easier kick. Overall it was still pleasing (Am I over reacting or what?)  :D They also write your name cutely accompanied with a heart ♥

Heart milk tea placed some chairs and tables for their clientele to settle down while taking pleasure from their milk teas Ü

34/52 Milk Tea at SPROCKETS!

Hi week 34 and it's intramural's week, after the heavy midterm exams it's time to enjoy our University days! Whoaaa! Pause studying for a while and it's time to bargain Intramural's 2012: D

After my terrible game (I played Badminton to represent our Department) I need to replenish of course. I was heading somewhere near Ayala Center Cebu to pick something and passed by Sprockets cafe + Milk tea cafe and had honeydew milk tea for Php 90  which was kinda "Bug-at sakong bulsa" (A little bit pricey for my pocket) but worth the taste.

There's this pleasant excitement you can nourish while seeing the artistic interior which valued the owner's interests. The skill and talent fused with food and drinks is another creative way of the owner Rachel Arandilla of spreading ingenuity and coolness to our fellow Cebuano's. Her love for photography is shown in every corner of the place. It's a place where you could have a drink and making your belly full by feeding it with lot's of treats from Sprockets!

People with the LOMO wall!

They look cute but they are the menu boards :D

I've always wanted to visit this place after I heard it was opened for the public, but every time I go there, there will always be gatherings and programs held inside so I rather cancel it and move to another place :( But I guess this week is my lucky week hehehehe: D

So my milk tea was 75% in sweetness and the creamy honey dew flavor was sweet but enticing. Over all the dainty smash of my drink was subtle enough for the kid to forget my awful game and relieved me from the bad thoughts that dominated my head for these past few days.

33/52 MIlk Tea Cebu hop JAPENGO!

Battered from midterm exams and saw piled up of loads to do, I felt like a dummy after all. It seems that I lost my life routine and forgot all my schedules. Everything turned in then went out and my aberrant behavior showed. Luckily, I still have time to go out and chill (at least I won't get depress)

I felt those within the midterm hell week (Who loves midterm? darn no one does I bet). This post was supposed to be done 2 weeks ago so sorry for the very very very late post (Sorry got lots of things needed to finish before I can go back writing for my blog).

I was with my High school chum Minnie Llaguno again for another afternoon wasted for nothing but EATING and we spent it at Japengo

After we had lunch, we indulge ourselves with some milk tea from Japengo. They actually have four available flavors Wintermelon, Taro, Fructose and Dark chocolate for 85 pesos each (pearls already included).

We had Wintermelon and Dark chocolate

The milk teas we had were much simpler but the flavoring was a lil' bit overpowering and too sweet. I could not say that milk teas sold from restaurants are better than those sold from real milk tea shops because people goes to restaurants for the food and not for the milk tea alone. But I'm not saying that you shouldn't buy from restaurants selling milk teas because sometimes you also need to discover more of what a restaurant could offer you. It's like being wise on how much you spend in eating.

So grab your Japengo milk teas now!

Healthy Avocado dishes at Sumo Sam Cebu

Some of our fellow Cebuano's nowadays prefer to live healthier by watching what they eat and indulge their selves in lots of physical activities. We can start living healthy by eating healthy foods of course. Start your wellness by having portions of fruits to accompany your meal and a serving of vegetables too.

But not everyone could spare some of their time just to buy fruits from markets and groceries or even do fruit picking in farms, good to know that Sumo Sam offers a lot of delightful dishes made from Avocados.

~Did you know that, Avocados are...

Best source of Vitamin E

◘Avocados have 54% of your recommended daily value of fiber, which gives this fruit much of its fat burning abilities.

One avocado provides your body with Vitamins A, C, E, K and B6 so you can be sure you're getting plenty of body nourishments with each bite.

---------------------

Sumo Sam prepared lots of incredible and enjoyable dishes for everyone! Like more of Sushi rolls with avocados featured in four different ways like the classic California Maki with Avocado, Caterpillar rolls, Smoked Salmon & Avocado rolls and Tempura Avocado rolls.

California Maki

Caterpillar rolls

The plated image was catchy enough for kids to enjoy this. I also did, I'm not an Avocado fan even though we had trees by our backyard. But I did enjoy this feast because it made these dishes more flavorful and palatable.

One of the best ways to enjoy Avocado is to associate it with other dishes like your salads which could make into a good light meal. Sumo's Sam's California Maki with Avocado salad is an ideal dish for you.

California Maki with Avocado salad
Enliven your meal with this luscious Avocado shake which was fruity impressive :) At first, I thought I wouldn't like it but classically it was pleasant and yummy: D

And for the finisher, have this sweet tasting and mouth watering Avocado Ice Cream which was presented in an Avocado shell and placed in a Margarita glass.

The Ice cream was sweet and divine; I'm not an Ice cream person so I've got little portions of it just to recognize how it tastes. The base was sweet vanilla ice cream but the Avocado cream mixed with it made it more toothsome (Good for sweet-toothed people!)

So that was my Avocado moments at Sumo Sam. Itadaikimasu! Enjoy! :D

Tropical Paradise "Virgin Beach Resort"

This is the blast I've been talking about from the latest post I had. This invite by Mr. Ron Perry gave the bliss to kid's heart. Mr. Perry invited me for a free stay in his resort with meals included, It's called Virgin beach Resort. Owned by the couple Mr and Mrs. Ron and Fe Perry (Click here to read on how Virgin Beach resort began) They had this admirable resort located in Daan Bantayan, north of Cebu. The place was tucked there without knowing its existence. It seems to be a place were you could find reconciliation; it's where you could find happiness. This is quite a lengthy post so don't get bored reading friends: D

Hearing that it's from Daan Bantayan, it is indeed far from the city. Where I realized how different it is living from there comparing to the busy place like Cebu City. You can reach Daan Bantayan by taking air conditioned bus from north bus terminal with the route Maya via Bagay (Most of the barkers and drivers know where is Virgin Beach resort is located so they will eventually tell you if you are in the right place) It's a 4 hour trip (or less i guess) from NBT to Malbago (Barrio where VBR is located) The trip will cost you 150 pesos/ person. Or you can take V-Hire (air conditioned van for hire) 150/person. After that, you can ride a motorcycle for hire and they will drive you to VBR (you just have to pay 20 pesos/person).

You know you are in the right place if you see this structure:
(Click on the pictures to enlarged them) ☺

This is the orchid bar where the front desk is located. In this same area you could find their Restaurant, Mini bar and some of their amenities like the billiard table, TV, DVD's, Books, Table tennis table, Mini gym, Game boards and Puzzles and Video games. You could also enjoy their free WiFi here!

These old photographs would bring you to the old established moments of Virgin Beach Resort and their guests.

This 2 hectare resort has lots of things to discover in it, as well as of the well kept nature in it. There are lots of flower bearing plants around the cottages and rooms same as of those tall trees everywhere.

This alluring place was more beautified by this fascinating swimming pool with water slide (When we arrived, I headed directly to this place and took some pictures)

One of their amenities that you can avail in VBR is their horse back riding. (These horses are so cute: D)

I was actually with my mom, tita tata and te cherry for this adventure. And we stayed in their studio type room called orchid deluxe large duplex cottage suite facing the sea with a private veranda (front and back veranda). The room is air conditioned, with private bathroom and CR (Hot water in the shower) and an open closet for our clothes. For the dining needs they have a kitchenette inside with refrigerator, rice cooker, tables and chairs and washing area. We settled in a room with a sofa and two beds (a bed good for 2 people) with TV and DVD player and some books to read.

They also have other rooms available for everyone like,

~ Orchid Deluxe small duplex cottage suite

Orchid Hotel Superior rooms

~Bougainvillea Hotel Standard room

~Barkada Lounge

For rates of these rooms please click here. VBR also offers monthly rates for their rooms with meals included in it please click here

They also have conference and function rooms for events,

For sports enthusiast, you could also avail their basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, table tennis and play with your family and friends. You could also rent their mountain bikes and available motorcycles. You could also have a bus and a car rented to have a tour from Malbago to Bogo.

We were also served with these simple yet very great meals that gave nourishment to enjoy our stay there. The restaurant has bunch of things offered in their menu from Filipino foods to Filipino-American and American dishes. And their bar could offer you some drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks).

For late lunch, Pancit bihon and Calamares were served for us. I could still remember the crispy Calamares we had.

For dinner we had Pinoy style pork Adobo and Chopsuey (Great hungry stomachs from swimming: D)

And for our brunch the next day, we had Eggs and Pancakes with butter and syrup. Plus the coffee bought a smile to the kids face: D

Be startled and be amaze with this place, It's found in Cebu and it's one of Cebu's best kept secrets. Be closer to Mother Nature and alleviate all the stress events in your life. Soothe and discover this place with your family, friends and love ones. Relax and assuage yourself, rejuvenate and enjoy here in Virgin Beach Resort. Your tropical paradise.

My company enjoyed this trip (Some of my friends missed this one ~Sorry Justinne, Sonny, Danikha and Minnie). And so do I :D

Life is a long run, so enjoy it while you can. Have it lived happily and be remembered because you did your work well. And for Virgin Beach Resort, thank you and God bless. TWO THUMBS UP FROM BIGFOOD ♥
