38/52 Sam's 50's Diner

Finding my pace in a 50's diner seems to create a color to my ache for food. That nostalgic feeling you felt stepping inside and everything turns out like "is this 1950's?" The experience seems to be really really really awesome.

With my chum (again) Minnie, we were welcomed by the cool ambiance of the place, the red and white paint that rules the place. The comfty big sofa's, tables and cute chairs. It was the usual diner with the order counter and they give you the waiting number and look for a place to settle down while waiting for your food. The place could sit around 50 people.

The place was full of 50's music and portraits of some popular artist, actresses and musicians of 1950's. I was longing for good dinner from school so we directly ordered one before my belly starts to grumble. Hehehe

Portraits!
The chairs, and tables and the interior amazed me :D

Bar! Bar! Bar!

They offer the usual diner foods like burgers with fries, Philly cheese steak, hotdogs and chicken but in a lower cost. We had sizzling steak with egg for 85.00 pesos, chocolate milk shake for 95.00 pesos and their burger with fries for 50.00 pesos

They assembled their sizzling burger steak with a very as in very creamy mushroom base sauce (i find that more creamy than mushroomy hehe) which was different but cream for burger steaks is not just my thing, I prefer to have the peppery gravy one which would really bring out the flavor of the burger steak. But the patty itself was full of taste but not that 'tender' and I felt like i was chewing a rubbery substance inside my mouth. But my friend always go back to have sizzling burger steak, she loved it that way tho. :)

This milk shake was also her favorite; they don't use the powder flavoring for this. So expect it to be good :)

For 50.00 pesos? This is big huh, I had this one for my second dish, which I expected the patty to turn out the same with my sizzling burger steak that was full of flavor (I loved how it taste!) but wasn't that tender and it didn't suit my preference (hope owners will do something about it, or their burgers and patty's will go to waste, SORRY!)

So that was my night in Sam's 50's Diner: D *BURP

37/52 it's CHATIME!

For the past weeks, I've bought out more milk tea shops (like 4 straight posts bout it) and I guess my body just got used to have at least a cup of Tea or milk tea every week. Most of my friends especially my "compatriots"/ POWERPUFF Buddies (Jillian and Natasha) kept on bugging me out like "Why on earth I like milk tea" and "That milk tea thing of yours has become a bit monotonous". I don't know how to react, can I just tell them that  "Dude, without milk teas it's dreary and somber" Will these words be enough to describe a good life with milk teas than having an ordinary cold bottled tea drink made from water, sugar, small amount of tea and food coloring? Does it make a sense now? Ha,

So let's go back to the milk tea thing before I become a sober. After a heavenly lunch at Matias in A.S Fortuna we abscond to Chatime in I.T park with my compatriots Jillian & Natasha and some of our friends in school Farley and Deandre. Me, Jillian and Natasha concurred with having a drink while the two guys seemed outrageously at odds of the "Milk tea" idea of mine.

So this is the place!

I fell in love with the interior which was enchanting and cheer :) The charming ambiance didn't fail to amuse me, the glowing colors of Purple and pink entertained my eyes.

My friends (Jillian's not here) ! <3

Line for the counter

That day, Chatime was loaded with people and we had a hard time looking for a place to plunge in to. But after a while, we did found one :)

I rewarded myself with QQ Milk Tea with Tapioca pears and coconut jelly (85), while Jillian had Chatime chocolate mousse with pudding (95).

There was nothing special about the liquid part of my drink, it was wealthy in tea and milk flavor which was enough and harmonize. I enjoyed my drink and in fairness, I loved their soft and sweet pearls plus the coconut jelly.  Of course one thought to masticate is that "I'm having Milk tea from Chatime so, it should be great!"

AMAZED BY THIS CUTE THING!

36/52 TEA SERVE!

Hey Milk tea loves! It's week thirty-six and our University days are officially over now ( I'm imparting you as if I have avid readers that really follow and check me out regularly) :p back to school reality again back to being that poor loser kid in school *KIDDING*.

Your milk tea baby spotted another milk tea store just around the center! Listen up, serving your desired cooling teas, TEA SERVE get a hand in serving your milk tea wants and milk tea needs :) In One Mango Avenue back of money changer, beside Mr. Coffee and alongside Zubuchon you can locate Tea serve there! This milk tea store began to operate last February 2012 which means that Tea serve is one of the lasting milk tea shops in Cebu.

Surprisingly, tea serve is the closest and most available milk tea shop around my turf, but I haven't even mentioned or even wrote a review about it. I'm having a hard time of deciding what to feature for the weekly post for my blog, indeed I've been wanting to feature another restaurant cause a friend of mine mentioned that "I'm so much into milk teas and they don't seem to like them". So I guess, i'll make "that" swift for a while :)

Back to Tea serve, It's not the "The closed door type cafe" but the "Stall type and sit around while you enjoy your tea". Some chairs settles around and they provided mini screen to view while fancying your milk teas :)

I was with Jillian Reyes one of my "Compatriots" in school to enjoy milk tea with the cooling rain. I had Butter scotch milk tea and Jillian had Honey dew milk tea. I wished to have Caramel milk tea that day but they ran out of stock so I get stick with Butter scotch which was a bit identical in flavor of Caramel.

I really loved their Pearls, they were small and sweet and delightful and su-du piquant. The liquid part was really good too, Jillian's thought of the candy-like, bubblegum-like flavor satisfied her craving for milk tea. The succulent flavor appeased me and gave comfort to me.
