Gentlemen Cafe's waffles to go

I heard about some waffles and milk tea to go at Gentlemen Cafe near USC main, thanks food world!, now there's something to soothe my head after school. I saw this cutey store and found the "waffle &milk tea" signage. (This is it!)

Being, that curious about their waffles, I don't wanna waste time. I had their set set B which was one waffle Ice (with ice cream) and one milk tea for 99P.

Waffle ice

Strawberry milk tea

GC 's waffles were great, I loved how simply sweet and chewy it was plus the wonderful aroma of it was fulfilling. Tho, the milk tea didn't satisfy me that much. Sorry milk tea but I'm still geared to go back and have waffles again at Gentlemen cafe :) See ya! :)

They have the plain waffle too! 40P each! :)

49/52 Milk Tea Float?

Being a marvelous milk tea fan (nothing beats milk tea! yey!) I've written some of the shops I've visited and found the sublime differences and uniqueness of each (go wander around my blog, you can find some posts of em)

Twas being-a-lazy-ass-day when my mom told me that Japengo has released this whatcha ma callin "Milk Tea Float" hmm, that's fresh so I allotted a day to try this one out.

So this thing

Chocolate Milk tea float+pearls and pudding :)

tasted like... MILK TEA FLOAT! :)

~Like the coke Float from Jollibee and Coffee float from McDonalds, it came with the vanilla ice cream floating like a glacier (Funny glacier LOL) on the liquid part of my drink.First sips were great, still enjoying the milk tea part but as the sweet vanilla ice cream continuous to melt, the liquid part becomes really really really sweet too. So you could like tell the waiter to adjust the sugar level down to 50% than the normal. (Just a suggestion ^.^) But the idea comes extraordinary and impressive. I guess its worth a try :)

I also got a try of their new flavors like the Cheese milk tea+Pearls and the Rose milk tea+Pudding. The cheese was surprisingly good just don't think that its cheese \m/

Cheese Milk tea :)

Rose Milk tea :)

Everything in the Food world deserves a try, so why don't you spend your hot afternoon sitting down with your milk tea float? Wouldn't it be nicer? :) But the weather seems disagreeing, Christmas is like 10 days from now, I can feel the cold air and as they say “Christmas Spirit" with children singing outside my house and the flashy lanterns and lights everywhere. Sadly, you can reserve your fantasizing thoughts for a milk tea float after Christmas :)

Advance Merry Christmas everyone ^.^

46/52 Anew and getting ahead •••• Heart Tea Cebu

Last November 10, 2012, I was invited by Frank Oliva of Heart tea milk tea Cebu  to join their relaunching at  Gilt Lounge• Wine bar• Deck and Patio at Crossroads Mall, Gov. Cuenco Ave. Banilad Cebu city. Bringing  my cool friend Sonny Santos along with me, he got the boost of hardcore milk teas and awesome cocktail foods from Gilt.

Heart tea has been my fav stops for milk tea afternoons and friend chillouts. As they went through the milk tea industry in Cebu, they launched a sleeker and bolder Heart tea Cebu that will fit to the trendsetting Cebuanos.

Their new logo represents a direction that ♥Tea is taking healthy, vibrant, hip yet affordable. Good and affordable milk tea that could please a kid. I've been an obsessed fan of milk teas and Heart tea has been part of my top 5, I could say they've been consistent bringing the "good milktea" in an "affordable" way. A certified hit for milk tea enthusiasts :)

The party was filled with  lots of people, mostly from the media industry and saw some of my cool online friends too. The event was hosted by June Rabin from Monster Radio and held with two gorgeous Heart tea milk tea ambassadresses. We were welcomed with the Basil Healthea drink, great cocktail foods and batches of Wintermelon milk teas with diff. popping add ons like the blueberry popping and the cranberry popping.

From Left to right. June Rabin, Frank Oliva and the two Heart tea Ambassadresses.

FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!

*photo not mine*
From L-R. Sonny Santos, the writer and The Sweettootheddiares
The brand launch was also coupled with the introduction of the new variance of milk tea to add up to the original tea flavours on the menu. The new and palate-tingling additions are; Caramel-Wintermelon Milk Tea, adding up a certain degree of sweetness to the classic summer-refreshing flavour profile of wintermelon, and finally the Hazelnut Milk Tea, a more exciting addition of aroma and roasted nuttiness to the regular milk tea. All variance and flavours can still be mixed and matched with the add-ons of your choice.  New add-ons are also introduced to Heart Tea’s already wide option. These are, Blueberry Popping, Mango Popping, Orange Popping, and Cranberry Popping.  All these popping add-ons, once bitten, burst with flavours of mango, blueberry, orange, and cranberry.

Getting ahead.

Heart tea has branched out! Having the kiosk in IT park as their main one, you could also catch them at the Cebu Doctor's University, and Convergy's Banawa. A new branch will be coming so soon at the Southwestern University Cebu, fronting the Aznar Colisuem's main gate.

Whats great about their branch in IT park is,  THEY DELIVER FOR FREEEEE! (around IT park only) :D You can tweet, chat, call or text them. (Details below)

The almost epic tragedy

I'm knocked on my heels after the "I-almost-fell-down-the-stairs" scene after one waiter accidentally hit on me while I was about to take the stairs going down. At least my friend got a hold on my arm before I lose my balance. Can't bear the thought of seeing my self stumbled down there. `unpretty sad` Walking thru the exit he said, "I guess you shouldn't wear heels"... Sadly heels aren't just  for me :(

44/52 Bubble Tea Station!

One afternoon from school last semester, I came to drop by Banilad town center to have milk tea from Bubble Tea StationTwas exam week so hell yeah! I need to study for it. The cup of wintermelon milk tea from BTS made me happy and unleashed the bad vibes (you know the feeling of exams -.-)

Bubble tea station kiosk
The bubble tea kiosk is found right by the main entrance of BTC (Banilad Town Center) you can just order and bring your milk tea around while looking for stuffs to buy around the mall. They also settled chairs by the side for you to sit down while waiting for the time to pass by while enjoying your milk tea.

As I said above  I had their wintermelon milk tea which was good, one of the best I should say. The price was reasonable and the taste was excellent. I had it with egg pudding that it made it more sweeter (I forgot to adjust then sugar level)

Luckily! Some people from Zee Lifestyle Cebu and the owner of Bubble tea Station Meyan Lim Young was there. Had a lil conversation with the owner and after introducing myself, she gave me a treat from her Asian food stall The "Small Eats" found outside BTC (right wing, beside potato corner)  which is a stall that could offer shabu-shabu to go and some Asian street foods! :) She handed me this Seafood Tofu drizzled with sweet and sour sauce that made me salivate and I was really ready to attack it :)) It was a healthy snack, #tofu

The Seafood tofu was so good, I enjoyed it with my milk tea. You can also order in Bubble tea if you want some of these treats, theyll serve it with your milk tea ;)

32/52 Milk Tea at SUMO SAM!

Milk teas are still alive and kicking in the food industry of Cebu and BigFood is not yet over about her Milk tea Cebu hop. We all know that there are a lot of (when I say a lot" It's found anywhere!) Milk tea cafe's around Cebu. Some people might not know that milk teas are also available in some known Japanese and Chinese restaurants in Cebu (I actually featured one from Dimsum Break before).

So Sumo Sam (Combined "Sumo=Wrestler" and "Sam=Kuya Sam") is a Japanese-American fused restaurant in Cebu which could offer you their wide array of Japanese dishes that could suit the Filipino families from kids to the elderly ones.

I had Winter Melon Sanjuro.

The liquid part of my drink was commendable, balanced tea and milk. But the black pearls where a lil bit dry and not that sweet but they were soft as usual (I really love soft Pearls for my teas) so over all, Sumo Sam's milk tea was admirable and good.

Milk teas available for the season:

Strawberry Sakura, Mango Yakult, Sesame, Yojimbo Green Tea and Choco Cream cheese with Oreo. 85 pesos each. Your choice of sinkers like Crystals, black pearls or Grass jelly additional 15 pesos each.

31/52 TEA RELIGION

Week thirty seems to be one of the most hectic weeks I had. Balancing the compacted schedules for Badminton, FOR SCHOOL, for family and for myself. ( And my hair needs to be cut ASAP it's been six months since the last time I visited the salon~ lengthy hair I got. )

It's another week of awesome food adventure; I don't really know how to express my bliss when got this invitation from someone for another feature (You'll see about this so soon guys so wait for it, another adventure as your foodie experience a blast!)

I came from my badmin practice with my school team mates (we are actually preparing for the upcoming school Intramural's) when my high school chum Minnie Llaguno asked me out for a "Study-out/Eating/Do-nothing"

We met up at SM but the mall seems so packed with people, So my mate and I decided to change the flow. We need to be in a quieter place for her to study and we both agreed to go to Tea Religion in Mabolo.

Arriving with affliction, we still smiled as we go enter this small shop.

COUNTER :D

The shop's space was limited, less than 20 people can be accommodated including the outside seating. I recognized after visiting bunch of Milk tea shops around Cebu, they usually dominate the place with white paint for the interior to make the place look huge and delicate. The shop's interior color was leaded with light brown which makes it brighter and cleaner.

White chairs and Brown tables

Outside view

The counter was not that colossal, but it was gloomy and unique.

Friendly Tea religion people :D

~the menu and something more UNIQUE :D

They actually used mirrors for their menu display, ~isn't it rare to see the set of things offered in a different way? Mirror way: D~

First time to see it folks! I was astonished by this complicated simple thing (Oweeee)

The wide arrangement of teas offered in Tea religion are also things that we need to uncover. They had hot teas (White tea, green tea and super fruit tea)
They have cold teas, yogurt teas and milk teas (Caramel milk tea, honey milk tea, Hazelnut milk tea, Chocolate milk tea, strawberry milk tea, Green honey dew milk tea, Taro milk tea, Watermelon milk tea , Coffee milk tea, Oolong milk tea, Coconut milk tea, Papaya milk tea and Almond milk tea). Milk tea M (70 peeysses) L (80peeysees)

We had Watermelon milk tea and Caramel milk tea,

The Watermelon milk tea bought goodness to my craving, Two of my favorites were joined for a good one, I was kinda hesitant at first if i'll try it or not, cause I was thinking it's not a good combination but in the later part. I ENJOYED IT ♥. The watermelon taste was there without losing the milk tea flavor.  Same as my friends disposition, she liked the sweetness of her Caramel milk tea (You could actually choose your sweetness level,~No sugar, less, more, full sugar~) and I perceive it by seeing her impression after her first sip.

They have TEASERS  for your milk teas

☺ Tapioca balls, Coconut Jelly, Ices jelly, Almond Jelly and Grass jelly.

Want accompaniments for your teas? No problemo! Cupcakes (55 peeysees) available, Choco overload, Peanut butter and jelly, Cookies and Cream, Mango float and Red velvet.

Want more? SNACKS (55)

☺Veggie Dumplings, Mushroom dumplings, and Crinkle cut Fries

~we actually had fries which were good (it tasted like fries: P)

28/52 BUBBLE BEE TEA HOUSE

Every single day, Life seems to be more complicated and erratic than usual. Arggg, I’ve been so tired these past few days with school, school, and school (kiddin). I'm still doing fine with my milk tea hop, actually I've been comprehending all the milk tea shops I've already visited with each other (Got to see those differences) and I'll do my very very very best to visit them before the "Milk tea trend" becomes "over rated"

I went off one afternoon (alone again) in Bubble Bee Tea House (Escario branch) for another add up for my CMTH (Cebu Milk tea hop). The place made me comfortable but the groupies that were inside made me uncomfortable (I felt small when I got in to the shop).

The shop was very colorful, it's like a dream. The place was the cutest place I’ve been. Those pink, orange and green colors were eye catching and jolly. With the base of white, it made the place look big... Those cute little lucky kitties, the counter which was enough, tho they had a lot of stuffs in it it's still so pretty fun and the starlight spot “The Small spiral staircase" (orange in color)

Left- cards, board games-Right-Cute pictures,Stuffs

FEEL ALIVE :D

They had a long wide lounging couch where you could lie down, sit, JUMP! And whatever. Where you could relax and chill for a while (Sorry I haven't documented it)

These decors made me feel like I'm in a castle like Beauty or somewhat like that.

They have two flat screens that play Music vids

The menu (It's like a doodle) was colorful and cuuute (This place is full of cute stuffs: D) Price list (For teas) 60-120. They also have hot teas and slushes.

I had winter Melon milk tea (This is my favorite flavor) size bubble (small) in size, they also have the queen which is their large size.

Their winter melon milk tea for 95 peeysees that tasted so good, The flavor was really there and the pearls were mushy and sweet. This tasted so good I swear I'll come back for more. Their milk tea comes with pearls so you won't pay for any add up. You know how that milk tea made me happy even if I was alone? I should have bought the queen size cause I really wanted more :(

I ♥ BBT

They also serve pika-pika or snacks, and crepes (I’ll try their crepes soon) good accompaniments for your milk tea. They also have a lot of wonderful stuffs in their menus and lots of Milk teas and Slushes to try.

I had a good Milk tea afternoon. Try Bubble bee tea house now :)
