Handy Candy Club ••• The sweetest club in town

In the Queen city of the south, one foodie was raving to her mom about some gummy bears, but her mom said "no cause they're fattening, I thought you were on a diet". "Mom please? :( ) the foodie replied. But still got no gummy bears from her mom. Then so, she decided to obtain it by herself.

For the real talk, that foodie was me, I love how gummy bears rumble over your mouth and giving off that sweet fruity flavor. hmmm they're my ultimate favorite and I love eating it when I'm bored or when I'm studying and one more tip to enjoy your gummy bears (It's from my friend Cheeeniee) is to stretch it. I tried it, (really tried it)

So selling these goodies which I call gummies kept me busy for the past few weeks (except from the school works, of course)

Cupcaken ••• Sweet and great!

I came to a two-story cupcake store  with all the longings for a Red Velvet cupcake ( I'm not contented with the ones I make at home) My love for cupcakes and sweet stuffs had demanded me to look for a good one, I should follow my soul, it might leave me someday If I can't grant anything it likes. Cupcaken situated somewhere in Banawa (a road called R. Duterte Street) a place where I don't always find my pace in, but luckily I arrived there with complete body parts. :)

I was flabbergasted with the number of cupcakes on display that welcomed me, Oh Boy, there's like10++ of each kind and there's approximately 10 flavors available right there. My brain was flying all over the place, the place was spacious and big for a coffee/cupcake shop (I guess the owners invested much for this)

Downstairs.

That's a lot man!! I wish I could try each piece of those little angels! :( :( :(
Boxes for their cupcakes :)

Maybe that corner would be nice :)

Cupcaken, fancies comfortableness and indulgence to their patrons while having their cupcakes so they fixed comfortable couches. Hmm, Yess! Couches  I love couches!! :)

The Cupcakes.

I came here for the Red velvet so I picked that one and the cookies and cream for my company.

Red Velvet.

The cake itself was good, moist and the sweetness was just enough, but the cream cheese frosting was I guess too sweet, that made the whole thing superb of sweetness.

Cookies and cream

The loved this one, the cake too was moist and soft and the cookies and cream frosting was light and made the whole thing gorgeous and enticing. :)

Maybe, Cupcaken deserves my "I shall return" segue.

Cinnamony •••• Rolling over rolls

I have a gigantic love for sweets, my affection always goes to chocolates, cupcakes and cakes of course. but recently, I've been "into" cinnamon (sprinkling them on wheat bread before toasting them) and cinnamon buns (I love the ones from Casilda's, mommy brings a piece for me every time she pass by Casilda's.) And then, the story of how "Cinnamony" and "the girl of billion things" met started because of Facebook. I was on the said social web when my former teacher posted a picture of beautiful Cinnamon rolls. I was blown away (Witweew!) I searched them on the net and boom I have now a box of Cinnamon rolls from Cinnamony

Cinnamony cinnamon rolls and buns are blissfully and personally made by a full time mother of two Kria Roleda. She herself is a big fan of Cinnamon rolls from Cinnabon, but there's no Cinnabon in Cebu (sad sad sad :/) so she decided to dash it up herself, now Cinnamon rolls are in reach by every Cebuano. She started sharing her cinnamon rolls to the public last May 2013 at Rustans supermarket Banawa Cebu, but now Cinnamony is already situated in BTC Cebu every Saturday's and Sunday's.

I feel delighted and special of course, Kria gave me a box of her Cinnamon rolls to try (I feel special! yay!!) She handed me 3 flavors, The Classic Cinnamon, The Apple Caramel Sticky buns, and the Chocolate Chip.

The Classic Cinnamon.

With it's perfectly sweetened dough, the match of the Cinnamon was absolute. The cream cheese frosting made it more divine (a mix of cream cheese, butter and icing sugar) The classic cinnamon was superb and yeah I guess this is the answer for the search of "everything nice" :)

The Chocolate Chip roll.

Among the three, this was the sweetest, it is comparable to a chocolate chip cookie but instead, you are having it in a cinnamon bun. The company of nuts and chocolate chips made it scrumptious, just "fit for a king". The nuts gave a richer flavor and aroma to the cinnamon roll, I like how chewy it is in the mouth it'l surely give you delirious thoughts of it's deliciousness. For the "sweet-toothed" kids out there, it's time to go crazy for chocolate chip rolls! :)

The Apple Caramel Sticky Buns.

The chewy apple chunks made me happy, I'm a big fan of apples but caramelized apples sounds better. Then added into the cinnamon buns??, Oh boy, the toothsome combination rolled me over!! ^_^ naaaahhhh the apple caramel sticky buns just released the dessert devil inside of me. I enjoyed it too much that I wanted more, I won't have anything to worry though, Cinnamony is within my reach :) Thanks Cinnamony! :)

Note by the foodie:

The most exquisite and luscious part of every cinnamon rolls from Cinnamony is in the center. Dive it down there to experience. No need to be careful, just enjoy every bite! It's a good partner for coffee too and your love one on the other side of the table of course!! :) Cinnamony cinnamon rolls are made from fresh quality ingredients, "Hindi tinipid!" (Not thrifty)

Due to excitement, I didn't have the courage to stop myself for a bite.

you can mix and match all the flavors they have: Classic cinnamon rolls, Apple caramel sticky buns, Chocolate chip cookie rolls, Choco orange rolls, Chelsea buns and Blueberry lemon rolls. 50/52 Cupcakes have attitudes ••• The Cupcake Theory

One busy afternoon after a loooooong boring forum, Natasha Yap and I thought of having a good Friday afternoon reward. We actually argued about where are we going and what to have, "we could go to 7/11" "or we can go smores!" "We can go coffee" I suggested. until I remembered Natasha said a week ago that The Cupcake Theory opened it's first branch near SHS Hijas de Jesus.

We continued to walk and still talking bout some things that are happening around (Don't expect it to be war, world peace or even Cybercrime. We're just talking bout some "girlthing" like you know what girls usually talk about.)

Arriving there gave me mixed emotions! I wanted to grab a cupcake so that I could start the cupcake mission :)

The place was bright, dainty and inviting. The generous white paint all over makes the shop brighter and spacious The counter was full of cute decors personally collected by the owner.

They opened last November 29 2012; as Mrs. Girly Enjambre (mother of the owner) shared to me. They only wanted a cake studio where to display the special baked stuffs, unexpectedly; they got a big place so the idea of chairs and tables to settle down for a-you-and-me-time popped out of no where.

Only four flavors are available are available for that day, “Chocolate” “Slutry, Sexy, Red”, “Cookies n’Cream” and “Mint to be” (more flavors are coming soon!) ^.^

I had the Slutry, Sexy and Red (Red velvet)

The name was very sexy :) looks comely (gimme a break red velvet! The slutry was convincing!)The lighter chocolate version was achieved, the cupcake was moist and sweet but the cream cheese frosting was much sweeter than I expected (I thought they didn't used cream cheese for it, then I ask the Mrs. Girly but she said that they are using cream cheese frosting for it.) A sweet creation made with love ♥

Natasha had the "Mint to be"

She liked how minty it was, not too strong and not lame. We both tried each of our cupcakes and I've noticed the mint was good, now I appreciate how good mint is. This is a must-try, the chocolate part was beatific, sweet but it did balance the whole thing. WINSOME!

Life is sweet (and so do I!) and make it more sweeter for cupcake moments with some cool friends you have. Building memories are better if accompanied by food and love. So I think Cupcake theory is not just a theory, it's a shop, A COOL ONE! Yey! Hope you can drop by and spend a lil time inside while talking bout life and your longings :)

The moments.

43/52 Small happy days with Cupcakes

My appetite for cupcakes seems to bother my sleep at night remembering the day my mom told me that she bought herself a "Red Velvet Cupcake" to satisfy her guilt and craving for the said food creature.

"Are you kidding me?" Mom replied "Lami man diay! (It was yummy indeed!)" I was speechless and thought of the cupcake.

Over thinking, I remembered the cupcakes from Leonas my friends bought last semester for three lovely teachers that helped us in school. Just simple gifts for these cool teachers during the celebration of World teacher’s day.

( L-R `Cookies and cream ` Red Velvet ` Apple Cinnamon)

My mind was shut, and now writing this 'sweet stuff" I srsly! As in, seriously craving for some.

24/52 Cure for craving! LLEW'S Mud pies

I've been so alone these past few day's, I think I've became a bore :( and left behind. Drama queen: D I have Saturday classes and that ruins my weekend, less days to rest and shorter time to have fun with my friends because of my major subject. (Not long from now you'll find me lying in the hospital suffering from mad-school disease) Haha, *laugh. It's was a rainy afternoon and I wanna go out, LOL I always loved the rain and I will always do. After the rain stopped, I went to this small shop that will surely mess my face, I'm a clumsy eater, Even that simple cornetto disc ice cream leaves me a dirty face like a kid :D

So LLew's Mud pies which would take me a short walk from Mango gave me a good sweet treat and a bloom inside my heart ♥, released the kid in me.

So the place is tiny, even if it flew in a place with busy people, I found this place to be simple yet admirable, the interior was light yet the frames and pictures describe the shop and the stuffs on their menu. The place likely could hold up to 22 people including the outdoor seating. The ambiance was fair; they only have 2 staffs ready to serve you.

get your messy face :D

I first heard about this place from my friend who always craves for their smores which I was intrigue of and determined to try. S'mores or a short term for "some' more" which I think that's the tag line of the shop, “Specialty mud pies, square paos, S'mores and more!" Cute*

So I was alone arriving at the shop, I spotted a couple which was sweet like the mud pies the shop could offer #etchosera# JK. The crew was welcoming and I immediately ordered their s'mores- choco vanilla flavor for Php 25( I choose the frozen one, But they also have the warm one if you'd like to) And I also had Choco mud pie for Php 30

Cute platter and cute spoon :D

SMORE"S!!!

The s'mores was really good but too cold for my teeth, I survived eating it in less than 5 minutes (obviously I've been craving for sweet things for the longest time) and I ended up with a messy face. S'mores consists of roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of Graham crackers. It is popular in United States especially for camping's. Good treat for kiddie campers.
The s'mores was coldly kept in a well sealed package, really safe that took me 5 minutes to open. This mouth-watering treat up hailed my sweet tooth: D I had a great time eating even if I was a lil bit conscious because of the two crews, *shhhh, they might look at me and give a great laugh because of my cute messy face :D  JK.

Next is the Choco mud pie which I found to be too sweet for me or maybe that was just the effect of the S'mores I ate ahead. But it was good, I should say as a Oreo lover, "cheers for the oreo treat" The choco mud pie (base from my taste) consist of crushed oreo's as the base layered next with chocolate cream which has a good texture but too sweet, with some chocolate chips and topped with sweet jelly-like chocolate and oreo crumbs. PERFECT* so smile*

Small for 30 peeysees but yum for 30 peeysees

I also wanna buy the cheesecake and try them but I felt I was full enough from the chocolate things I finished, i'll try them next time as I go back in Llew's (Hey shop owner, You are making me so fat with your stuffs :/)

The mainstream line I could hear from everyone to describe a person or a thing, Awesome. That's for Llew's, Great shop Ms, Giselle Boholst (owner) I'll be coming back for more: D

Kiddie chef :D

Got a card. Thank you Mr. friendly crew :)

They also have rice meals and "deep fried ice cream in their menu. You should try em all: D
